Re: Got contacts!

I'm just starting to wear contacts every now and then, so I definitely feel you. If it goes reeeeeally well I only need a minute or two to put one in, but usually one will go in really easy and the other will fight me tooth and nail.

Do you have one-time use contacts or the once which you can wear for a month? I have one-time use, so when I put them in I just set them on my eye, roll them off my finger and if they're not sitting smoothly and are all wrinkly (they almost always are) I smooth them out using my fingers or blinking them smooth and into position(though I have to hold my hand over the eye with the contact lense or blinking won't work for some reason). It also helps me if I put a little of the fluid from the package on my eye before and after I put the contacts in.

To take them out I rub at my closed eye until the contact is dislodged and wrinkled up and then peel it off with my thumb nail. I'd be afraid to do it with long-term contacts, but for one-time use it's the method that works best for me. :)

I have spent an hour trying to get them in today. I am about ready to give up. *sigh*
