As I don't watch the show, I can't speak to overall themes of the show, but one can be nostalgic about times gone by or about certain elements of times gone by without wishing that everything was the same or that we could go back to the "good ole days." Thinking that old cars are better then the new ones, that the music of few decades ago is so much better then what is being put out now doesn't mean you long for the days when white men rule the world. It just means you like certain elements of a particular time.
