I have this really beautiful uke my ex made me. I've missed practicing, but I couldn't stand to look at it because of the hurt. A year+ and a move later, i picked it up for the first time and didn't feel sad at all! It still looks as pretty as the last time I played, and sounds pretty decent for getting acclimated to yet another new environment. My fingers already hurt, though. :-P

Anyone else go back to something they'd missed recently? Or something that's gives you happiness it used to?

I have recently started cross-stitching again, and remembering how much more calming it is than my other crafts.

So it took me a minute to realize you meant 'uke' as in 'ukelele' and not as in 'bottom in a yaoi pairing,' and I thought that you meant your ex gave you a willowy bishounen as a present to lock in your closet or something.
