Well, May seems much more comfortable dealing with things she can punch than with alien tech, much less psi abilities, so I can understand her wanting to believe this has a mundane explanation (and as it turns out she's right). But IIRC she didn't say there's absolutely no ESP ever in the world. She said there were no *confirmed* cases of it, which is very likely true.

When you get right down to it, removing mutants (and FF, which removes Franklin Richards) leaves you with a pretty piss-poor depth chart at the telepath position in Marvel. I think the most mainstream non-mutant example of it is probably Doctor Strange (and how likely is he to turn up for a SHIELD test?), then Elektra (Fox has the rights) and then I'd probably go to Danny Rand, who really uses some sort of weird chi bullshit and not straight-up telepathy.

IIRC most of the others are aliens, and since we're not that far removed from the Battle of NY, I think its safe to say SHIELD probably hasn't gotten their hands on many shi'ar or whatever yet. So, telepathy? Sure. *Confirmed* telepathy? Not much of a given.

Can anyone with more comics knowledge confirm or deny?
