His wife is boring, but that's only because she hasn't been in many scenes. It's possible that as the story goes on she might develop more of a personality.

And what have they done/shown us to completely sink the Ichabod/Abbie ship? They've got more chemistry than half of the non-canon slash couples that are squeed over.

I don't get the hate; she hasn't been in enough of the show for me to form a strong opinion either way.

And I would honestly be more surprised if he and Abbie weren't at least hinted at. I don't think I'd even mind in this case if it were done right; I love them together. Maybe that should stay to fanfic though...

That once they get Katrina un-stuck from wherever she is, there's nowhere for her to go but heaven or the afterlife of whatever. She had her chance, I don't see her being brought back. Yes, Ichabod will have a lot of emotion around her, but he and Abbie could easily be endgame.

From Ichabod's PoV she hasn't even been dead 6 *months* - maybe not even a month - so it's not exactly shocking that nothing's happened between him and Abbie, nor that there aren't any indications that anything will yet.

Also, if you want to go with what the writers have said? They haven't ruled out Ichabod/Abbie, just that 1. The stuff with his wife gets wrapped up before they'll really even write him/anyone, and 2. They just want the relationship[s] to unfold in a way that fits with the story. Which means that it's entirely possible that it will end up with Ichabod/Abbie as end game.
