Semi-OT: Is this show any good? I do love me some James Spader.

It is one of my new favorites. I think it has serious potential to be one of the best on TV.

I think I've watched...3 episodes so far? I like it quite a bit. It reminds me a lot of Alias, which was my favorite when it was airing.

You should watch it for his performance alone -- he's been fantastic thus far. The show itself isn't amazing, but has it's moments and potential to be more.

I think it's pretty fun. It feels like White Collar meets Silence of the Lambs, which somehow manages to work.

James Spader is fantastic, as always. But honestly, he's the only reason I'm watching (him and the CIA agent who seems badass and interesting).

The dialog is fine, but the plotting is incredibly sloppy. Lots of hand-waving of big issues. And the biggest problem is Liz, the female lead. YMMV, but she is a TERRIBLE agent, and it really takes me out of the story. She's obviously supposed to be the moral center and strong (although a fish out of water), but she comes off as clueless and incompetent more often than not.

I enjoy Spader a lot, so I'm still watching. I just hope they live up to the potential there instead of continuing to have Liz tag around after him like a baby duck. Strong, competent, professional women do not have to lose those qualities to be in difficult/traumatic/confusing/etc situations.

I didn't recognise that he was James Spader when I read the secret, I only remember him as Daniel Jackson and that movie with Maggie Gyllendahl (sp?)
