She quit being a Christian because of all the homophobia. That's pretty good.

And pretty stupid considering anyone whose read the original text of the Bible knows there was never any homophobia in it. Seriously, if you think that God hates homosexuals then there are no words strong enough to describe his hatred for heterosexuals.

So basically—giving up your religion, because you haven't bothered to read the text it follows is...sad.

Now, refusing to go to church, because they are all completely out of their minds...I get that.

I believe it was the homophobia from other Christians that made her quit (at least that's what she complained about before she said she was giving it up, iirc), nothing to do with what is or isn't in the Bible.
