do any of you ever...

comment on the previous set of secrets after the new one is put up?

I mean sometimes I do if there's unfinished business (in my mind) and I was curious if others did too. For an embarrassingly long time i was under the impression that once the new secrets are posted everybody forgets yesterday's.

Sure, if I'm having a conversation, or if it's a big/interesting thread.

Rarely ever. Only if I missed going to F!S the day before, and I go back and see a secret I realllllly wanted to comment on. Which doesn't happen much.

If I was in an interesting comment thread the previous day I might check back the next day. Again, usually not.

Yep. I usually watch old posts for two or three days, because I generally like the discussions/rec lists. :) It's no big deal if you have one of the new comment html fixes.

Almost never. It minimizes potential drama.

I usually forget or no one seems to be around and I don't bother. If I'm still holding an interesting conversation with someone though, or someone replies to a comment of mine and I have something to say, sure.

I have, but I usually don't expect anyone to notice.

Yeah me too, actually. I usually avoid doing it now because it frustrates me when I find a great thread I missed out on.

Usually only if I'm replying to someone who is signed on because it's more likely they'll reply... or if the comment I'm replying to is very recent.

Yes, because I usually am a late-nighter and often read F!S after 10pm my time. Sometimes I will have the tab open still with something I want to respond to but don't have the brainpower to type it up until I've slept, by which point the new one is usually up or will be before too long.

I did once. A group of anons immediately dogpiled, ranting about how I shouldn't be commenting on old secrets, because once the new set was up the day before was closed for comment. And "[My] comment is stupid, anyway."

I couldn't help but wonder why they were there to oh-so-helpfully inform me of this fact if the post was "closed".
