Read all the way to the bottom. Open air sites were barricaded during the shutdowns in the nineties. Facts beat memes.

I've read your article and I'm not convinced at all. Especially not when overlooks outside of Rushmore park had cones on them to try to stop people from so much as looking at a national monument. Or that hilarious barricade in front of the Tetons. Facts do beat memes, but at some point, people will look at facts differently and I don't see us agreeing here.
