I had not thought about it, but you are absolutely right.

Being affected and depressed about bad reviews is one thing, even being secretly irritated by the stupidity of the public. Being publicly angry and resentful on the other hand... is a big warning sign. And ditto about talking as if your characters are real: I can imagine a writer doing so when writing, but not afterwards. And certainly not in public unless one is deranged.
