(Anonymous) 2013-10-19 01:22 am (UTC)(link)I had more fun when I went to Harry Potter World, though. I definitely lived up to hype and I'm wasn't that big of a fan either.

Inspired by a thread above...
The 'Fire and Ice' dragon ride at Universal Orlando was my favorite ride. I have no idea what they changed the name to when it became Hogwarts, but I threatened to run away and live in the castle with the dragons.
I used to love the Japanese pavilion in EPCOT. There was a street puppeteer/magician there one season, and every time I went, he'd choose me out of the audience to play with.

(Anonymous) 2013-10-19 02:14 am (UTC)(link)Uh... yeah. I love Disneyland. It's happy. It has nice things in it, and it feels like thought and attention were paid to the guest experience. I guess my favorite rides are Indiana Jones, but especially Pirates of the Caribbean - they just have so much atmosphere, and I guess when it comes down to it that's what I really love about Disneyland - it's just dripping in atmosphere. And with Pirates, there's just something so perfect about coming in out of the hot Southern California sun into the cool dark air, and getting in the boat, hearing the water splashing around you, sitting back, going by the Blue Bayou, hearing all the music... it's just so nice.
The one park that I really want to visit is the Harry Potter one, for obvious reasons. I've heard it's nice (and also, this: http://joeposnanski.com/joeblogs/katie-the-prefect/). Not sure when I'm going to get out there, though, there's basically no reason for me to ever go to Florida, and I would feel kind of odd going across the country just to go to Harry Potter World, and I'm pretty sure I couldn't convince any of my friends. Someday.

(Anonymous) 2013-10-19 03:21 am (UTC)(link)I do like Disneyland, but I've only been when it's super hot and super crowded and it's less fun when one of your friends is being overly demanding and it makes everyone else miserable. Still fun though.
