Yeah, you're definitely right. I think this whole thread is making me think about that angle a lot more.

I just know when girls/women, especially in spaces where there are very few female players compared to the number of male ones, start acting like that I cringe because the reality is the really immature guys WILL hold them up as an example of why women are all ~stoopid and ~know nothing about games and ~obnoxious to play with.

But you are absolutely right. It's the attitude of those guys who are the ultimate problem when it comes to sexist behavior, not the behavior of the gamer girls (even if they're being annoying in general to everybody, because there are a lot of annoying people who play games).
