Just because he's a son of Hades doesn't mean he or his father is a 'bad guy'. Hades was the most neutral of the Greek gods and it's only because of Christianity's influence that we even see him put in the same place as Satan because he rules the Underworld. He's the god of the dead but that doesn't put him on par with a Christian's idea of Hell or good vs evil.
