Fandoms: Lots of different things. I'm currently really into Sleepy Hollow, Lost Girl, Orphan Black, Pretty Little Liars and Teen Wolf. Older fandoms that I'm always happy to talk about include Buffy the Vampire Slayer/Angel and Firefly, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, Avatar: The Last Airbender (although I'm not so into Korra), Harry Potter and Supernatural. I'm also really into a bunch of less well-known books fandoms, especially Australian YA literature from the '90s, Sophia McDougall's Romanitas trilogy, Sarah Rees Brennan's Demon's Lexicon trilogy, Catherine Jinks' Pagan Chronicles series and the books of Kate Elliott. His Dark Materials was my first fandom and is the fandom of my heart.
What in fandom interests me: Meta, especially longer, thoughtful, review-like commentary that discusses books/TV shows/films etc within a broader context. Engaging with other fans and having genuine conversations. I read fic but don't write it very often or talk about it very much.
What in fandom does NOT interest me: Ship wars and wanky arguments about canon, RPF (I don't have a problem with it, but it's not something that interests me), roleplaying, Tumblr (again, if Tumblr works for you, that's fantastic - go forth and Tumble away - but I'm in fandom for conversations and discussions, and Tumblr is a really bad platform for such things).
Major Non-fandom Interests: Academia (I'm in the final stages of a PhD), libraries, jogging, yoga, hiking, cooking, travelling.
My LJ/DW/tumblr/etc Contains Mostly: It's a mixture of posts about my life (mainly about my research and my work as a librarian), longer reviews and meta, links, memes and the occasional post on politics or social justice.
