I need to start watching this show. Is it good f!s? At least on par with Merlin?

I'm finding it on par with early S1 Merlin, which includes a whole lot of cheesiness at the moment.

No. No, it isn't good. Waste of time. They should just dispense with that passes for a storyline and loop the main guy shirtless for half an hour.

It is better than Merlin (less reset button, less "hiding ones true self" crap). Everyone keeps comparing the two because it is made by the same guys, but the characters are totally different. It isn't going to be "gritty" or anything like that though. It is still for audiences 8-80 in Saturday evenings.
