If you only want to enjoy any kind of art that was created during a time the artist felt good about themself and doesn't regret that phase in their life, there probably wouldn't be a very big selection left...

Man, no kidding. Some artists wouldn't even have a career, I'm pretty sure. Like, I love Pink Floyd, but their most popular albums are pretty much Roger Waters freaking out and having intriguingly-composed angstfests over some awesome instrumental accompaniment.
