The third-person plural is the thing that disturbs me when people talk about their bad experiences with "insert nation". Stereotyping isn't about thinking that many, or even the majority, of the population are unplesant to be around. Stereotyping is about assuming that a nation is an entity, has collective responsibility, collective consciousness, and collective blame.
