No, it's read Yûri or Yūri. On his passport, it'd say Yuri.

No, they're not. They both denote a long vowel, which is different from two vowels in a row. How Japanese words are written in hiragana do not reflect their pronunciation; romaji, for the most part, strive to reflect pronunciation. When you "romanize" words by taking the hiragana and transcribing them individually, you are disregarding how Japanese is actually pronounced.

You kind of people make manga/anime fandom intolerable. It's sad there are so many of you.

To which you're going to reply either "lol liar" or "native speaker doesn't mean they don't know the rules if they haven't actually studying it at school LIKE I HAVE", to which I'll reply I studied with other Japanese people until kôkô 1, then studied Japanese grammar and phonetics at university. To which you'll reply "obviously none of your studying means anything because it doesn't prove anything about your abilities", to which I'll point you to your own attempt to prove your supriority by mentioning education.

Either way you fail, so again, go away.
