Lol how deep. Listen, has it ever been an immediate family member that has died or any of that? I get the OP not feeling real deaths as much as the OP feels fictional deaths, because I suppose everyone deals and copes with things differently, and that person very well might as well be more emotionally invested (or at least be able to acknowledge it) with fictional shit than they are with the people around them. Real death might be something on a more grand and unknowing scale that makes them less likely to feel horrible and hopeless than a fictional death would.

It doesn't change the fact that the commenter still can't think that's utterly unhealthy and idiotic.

Nihilism is for angsty teenagers and is stupid. If nothing has any purpose (Which makes no sense; as we are social creatures and we rely heavily on the other to survive and be healthy; and purpose is defined as an external cosmic network of worth in the 'what does it matter' argument, which then leads us into existentialism and I don't wanna debate philosophy and recite Spinoza and Sartre in fucking fandomsecrets), then gtfo and be an hero, nihilists. If you only do things for the hopes of getting into some big magical treehouse in the sky where God rewards you for every little altruistic behaviour you've committed then you obviously were doing it all for personal gain and not for others.

WHich, you know, is human and okay. We have automated and social reactions. Everyone is different and the OP obviously has different ways of coping with real death.

But why the hell does everyone get surprised when someone reacts badly to an offensive or extreme secret? It happens, if the secret maker gets to share their opinion on here then so do people in comments. Quit crying and accept that someone thinks it's utterly fucking retarded to do what the OP does, and that someone thinks they can't comprehend what real death is.

I say let them think the way they want, I just think the secret is dumb but I can see how someone would feel that way, sadly. Doesn't make it less dumb to me. And that's okay. there will always be a person who thinks you're a douche.

PEOPLE THINK I'M A DOUCHE FOR SAYING THIS RIGHT NOW IT'S AMAZING.

I meant can* but you know, I am dumb and tired.

Anyways, there would be no reaction to actions if nothing had purpose. Unless one's worth is defined on the fact that they will one day be somewhere else after death. And if that doesn't happen and nothing has any purpose, there is no purpose of existing so someone should off themselves instead of crying over animu characters. Why would they keep existing, otherwise? Because they don't want to kill themselves? Well that would mean they want to live, and that would mean there are reasons to live, even if it is as small as simply not wanting to die, which exhibits some form of purpose.

Also, just because you react badly to an opinion it doesn't mean you're trying to infringe on someone's right to have it, to the commenter who replied to you, anonymous. that wasn't addressed to you, hur.

I've been just as touched by things in literature as I have been by people in real life, but people in life have helped me survive since I was a child, so ultimately they are more important to me, and it's not just because they are more tangible. I can somewhat see what the OP is saying, even if I think it's douchey to think to that extreme, but hey, I bet they can't help it.
