There is no death for fictional people, as they never lived in the first place. Again, this line of thinking is detachment from reality.

What it comes down to is my personal regard for human life, and how I think if this is everyone's final viewpoint or tendency toward then none of you have it.

If you're asking (which you're not) from the point of simple nihilism, ie what is the point (for real people) if we all just die-----

I am an atheist. I believe very strongly that life is the product of random evolution and our sentience is just natural progression. I believe we die just as anything else, and there is no more. I believe that "souls" and the "paranormal" are part of a science we yet know nothing about, but give us fifty years.

What we do in life does not matter on an evolutionary scale.

...But what we do in life does matter to everyone around us. We are not given a purpose in life; so we make one.

Our sentience allows us to know each other on a level unfathomable to any other species and put in the context of our own lives. Where there once was no purpose, both inter-personal and global relationships become meaningful.

Yes, scientifically-speaking, we are the same in death. But to each other, we are not. This is the beauty of humanity.

And when you try to take that away by comparing it to fictional unreality, you piss me off.
