(Anonymous) 2013-10-22 03:15 am (UTC)(link)I feel like AO3 has just really grown in popularity, and as a result, people aren't posting as much fic to LJ these days. It's easier just to have the insta-squee of Tumblr and Twitter with AO3 as the archive. There just doesn't seem to be as much demand for the journal-based model of LJ.
That being said, can anyone explain to me how intelligent discussion can occur on Tumblr? I've tried the comment+reblog model a few times, but have yet to engage in a discussion as easily as in LJ's comments.
