What the hell? That book is not the only reason people criticize him. It's the incredibly racist things he has said, for example, the Irish are stupid and "darker" women have higher sex drives. He was saying these things a couple of years ago, not back in 1970 or whenever. You might want to do some further reading before you defend James Watson the man rather than James Watson the scientist.
