Re: It is not society's job to raise your kids, people

lol This so bad. I have so many horrible customer stories, but this one is fun.

I worked at Walmart as a cashier. One day a guy came in and tried to buy an item, but I guess it was placed in the wrong spot by a customer or something so it was more expensive than he thought it was. I tell him I can just void it for him and he goes, "I get it for free now, right?". Now, I've had customers jokingly say that before, so I laugh and he just stares at me. My CSM was right there while this is happening. I slowly tell him no, and he slightly raises his voice and says, "No, that's policy in all stores." And my CSM overhears this and says no, that isn't the policy here.

The guy opens his eyes really wide and starts almost screaming at my CSM that this is how it is in -all- stores! And he wants it for free -now!-. And he and my CSM argue for a few minutes before he marches out of the store.

I was really freaked out at the time, but looking back on it, it was kind of funny.
