everyone in this thread failed at reading comprehension

Because like?? I don't think the OP ha said anything at all about JDW himself? The secret is about people who consider The Double Helix a misogynist book and dislike the book/Watson for this reason. Anyone who dislikes him for any other reason is not even a subject of this secret.

Itt: someone who failed at reading comprehension

The OP doesn't believe that reading the book gives the impression of him as a chauvinist or a misogynist, which is a trait of him as a person. They didn't say anything about disliking him on principle of the book or disliking the book or the book being misogynistic because it was written by him. They said they liked the book and didn't take away that the author was misogynistic, which obviously feminists agree with, or there wouldn't be a fucking secret. It is all about him as a person and the OP said clearly that, after reading his book, OP can't see him that way. Never mind that feminist critique of JDW has shittons of other problems with him besides his book and you can list them without ever having to mention it. The comments on the thread make it pretty clear that the problem with JDW is not specifically centered on his book and that he's widely known for being a shitty person.
