Re: "Rape" comments in games

I worked in a call center once and I had a guy start screaming about how the phone company was "raping him" with his bill. He kept saying it over and over again, no matter how I tried to deflect the conversation. So I was quiet for a minute, and then I told him in a very small voice that I understood his frustration with his slightly-higher-than-usual cell phone charges, but as a rape survivor, I would appreciate if he didn't use that expression so lightly.

I do feel guilty for playing that card since it isn't true, but what if he had gotten a rep who HAD gone through that, and they had to listen to his histrionics? It made the guy realize he could potentially hurt someone with his skewed priorities, anyway.
