I wouldn't call her a cheap knock-off of Cruella, but it was definitely Milt Kahl's attempt to out-Cruella Marc Davis's Cruella, which never should have been attempted. Instead of organically developing a villain, he went way over the top trying to create this exuberant and evil villain to surpass all evil and exuberant villains.

I definitely like her as a villain and as an animated character, but Cruella, Maleficent, Ursula, Lady Tremain, and the Wicked Queen will always come to mind first when I think of great, female Disney villains. Hell even Mad Madam Mim before Medusa, tbh
