Carol Danvers has been amazing all throughout her career, minus unfortunate-as-hell-Fridgebumps, and I'm glad you found her, OP!

(Even if I think Teddy or Noh-Varr should have taken the Captain title. I love Carol to bits, and Ms Marvel is who I was introduced to her as).

Why should they have gotten the name over Carol? Neither of them even knew the original Captain Marvel. Carol is the one who knew him, was friends with him, and got her powers from him. Her taking the mantle is a natural progression and in my opinion probably should have happened a long time ago.

Teddy is his SON, for one (and "Hulkling" is a silly name he needs to grow out of), and Noh-Varr held the title for a time.

Hulkling is a stupid name (in addition to not even really fitting his character), but frankly Ms. Marvel is a lot worse. I just... really hate that name and always have, even pre-name-change.

Neither Noh-Varr or Teddy had an intimate personal connection with him. Yes Teddy has his genes, but ?? he never knew him. He was raised by someone else? I mean... yeah. Carol's powers not only came from him (making them 'related' in a sense), but she was also extremely close to him on a personal level.

Nothing wrong with "Ms Marvel" unless you take offense with the very title of Ms itself. It's no more silly than Captain America or Iron Man or Rogue. I would think her using the Marvel in her title is in and of itself quite the tribute to Mar-Vell.

Teddy did meet his dad, briefly, and has spent a good deal of time trying to live up to his memory. It would have been an equally good progression for him to take up the mantle. And seeing as four of the five previous Captain Marvels have been Kree it would have been cool to see it stay in that species, because I like seeing the Kree.

Obviously we disagree on this. Personally, I would have loved to see Carol get her own book and, you know, keep her own name. Instead we have - apparently hte same opinion you have unless I'm reading tone wrong - people deciding her name wasn't "good enough" and she has to have a nice strong name. Had she picked her own name, ala the Titans shift to Arsenal-Nightwing-Troia? Would have been one thing. Instead, she got someone else's.
