I have been known to do that kind of thing myself, so I just looked up to see if I was in the same boat... nope. I'm pretty sure I would remember having heard something that annoying.

I mean, it's right up there with that "Milkshake" song (which I also had to seek out - I mostly listen to classic rock and oldies stations so hardly ever hear modern music unless someone sings it at karaoke) as far as "Wait - you mean there are people who like this UNIRONICALLY and think it's catchy? How? WHY?" goes.

I got pretty good at tuning out annoying songs on the radio after working at a place where the radio was on the whole day and I wasn't allowed to change the station. That was back when that damn "Push the Button" song by the Sugababes was being played all the time. The station had a terribly short playlist, so the song played between 5-6 times during one workday. I never understood why someone would like those songs. I generally tend to hate song that have passages that sound like they recorded some retarded chimps and inserted those sounds in the song.

I have this issue with pop music (and most modern rock, which is sad, I *like* the genre of rock in general) where I can't tell one song apart from another unless either it's really unusually interesting in some way (Christina Aguilera got me a couple times!), or it's really, really freaking terrible and annoying (the song in question, "Milkshake", and the most recent bane of my existence, "Moves Like Jagger").

Most of it I wouldn't even notice if it was played five times a day. :P

What I lack in facial racognition skills I have a bit too much of in music and voice recognition skills - can be very useful but gets annoying really fast because it gets hard to tune shit out.
I never got "Moves Like Jagger" either. It's terribly annoying and the lyrics are stupid as can be.
