I don't think so. AOS fandom doesn't care much for Scotty.

It's a pity, because I think AOS Kirk-Scotty is an unexplored comedic goldmine. They have more potential for hijinks than any other combination of characters.

Every time I read "AOS" rather than "Reboot" my brain immediately thinks "animated original series" (which I guess is more commonly TAS?) and I wonder where this "AOS Fandom" everyone is talking about lives.

As much as I liked it in parts, Scotty was pretty much the entire highlight of that film. And his scenes with Kirk were priceless, both serious and not.
