I've not read much omegaverse, but the 'knotting' does make me feel like omegaverse is bestiality fantasy-lite.

(other opinions available, I accept mine is not popular and there's more to omgeaverse than knotting & alpha/beta dynamics but I personally can't get past the animal-ness)

Kind of. A/B/O is generally a combination of knotting, gender roles, sex pollen, power dynamics, and occasionally mpreg. It's a whole set of kinks rolled into one, and you have a pretty good shot of finding an A/B/O fan who doesn't like knotting. Mostly I think people just want society-accepted relationships while still having slash pairings.
