The first Poltergeist. I love the mix of horror and awe about the afterlife and how much the family loved each other. Bonus points for making baby!me afraid of common stuff like TVs, closets, and swimming pools.

The kid's clown going after him scared the shit out of kid me. I think I've only seen the whole thing once, but it was definitely cool.

Oh man, I saw that move for the first time when I was seven and it HORRIFIED me, especially the bits with the mirror and the bedroom-wall suction monster. This coming from a kid who watched and loved Jurassic Park as a four-year-old.
