A group I enjoy was posting art for a Halloween event, and I figured that I'd give it a shot, my art's not that great, but I'd try, you know? Besides, from the way it sounded, I thought that all the art for this art prompt would be shown, and thus mine would just be one of many.

Well, mine was one of many, but then I found out that other people's are wasn't shown, and mine was, and I just feel like their art is so much better than mine and should have been showcased

Is there a way to make that feeling go away?

Buy a whip and hit your nude back really really hard, repeatedly

Say "I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry."

Or be happy that someone liked your art more.

The feeling doesn't go away (I've experienced something similar with writing). You just have to come to terms with it. Be a gracious winner.

I'll do my best.

And now I have the whip it good song from "The Lord of the Rings" stuck in my head, so. Thanks for that.

But yeah, I'll do my best.

whip it good song from "The Lord of the Rings"

I'm pretty sure that you're confusing two different songs, but on the other hand, a Devo concept album about the Lord of the Rings sounds amazing

No, I was, sorry, the song I was thinking of is "Where There's A Whip, There's A Way". ^_^;

All you can really do is make as good art as you can, it's not your responsibility to decide what people should like. But is there a way to make the feeling go away, probably no.

Thanks, I'll try and keep that in mind. :)

I've sort of been there and it's a weird experience, but what you should take away from it is someone really liked your art, and you should be proud. Embrace it and be grateful that you won against so many other talented people. Yayyyyyyy you.

Also maybe use those feelings and channel them into working to improve your art even more.
