I have no idea about the OP, but I have met people IRL who are so invested in being correct and pure and right about shit that they expect that from people they are friends with too, and in an instant you can go from bestie to shit list. It's something white middle-class young women tend to do, I've noticed.

YEP. This actually just recently happened to me. My very good friend of about 2 years basically disowned me over a disagreement we had. It's fucking annoying and not worth it to be friends with those kinds of people. They'll eventually be alone in the end anyway.
