I think most people who care about this stuff do go through a phase where they are adopting the new awareness into their psyche, and eventually integrate it. At first there's the fervour of a convert, but then we get more chilled about it. Some people never do grow out of that phase, and if they're being real life, productive, activists, then I will respect them. If they're just churning up the same dirt, then I pity them because the acid will eat them from within.
