I had something similar with writing. I had so many things in my head and no way to make it come out and when it did it wasn't beautiful.

(I'm not even going to go into how hard reading was for me.) First I had to just learn to write. I was so afraid of messing up for the longest time I wouldn't move forward. Eventually I gained the confidence. Then I had to learn to spell better. That took a long time but I mastered it with a lot of extra hours. Lastly, I had to learn how to not just get my point across but to do so in a way that was engaging and interesting. I had a spark for it on occasion but that was hard to control. I learned how to tap into that when I needed it.

It took me a long time to excel but I did it.

It feels good, doesn't it? To finally succeed and to know all of the work and effort you put into it not only meant something but made it all the more meaningful?

That's awesome.

and it is nice. ^^ . When something is difficult it feels all the better when you finally learn it.

Yeah. I feel exactly the same.

It feels like you won something.

That kind of thing is always nice. Especially since in my childhood the thing I was teased about was intelligence , so I ended up with a sort of inferiority complex over. It makes me feel silly since i'm a twenty-something year old women...but I still sometimes have to remind myself "I AM smart."
