I know! Especially since (IME) these guys are just natural boundary pushers so every time you give an inch they readjust their expectations and keep pushing. My default response of shutting them completely down is the only thing that has resembled working for me.

Not to mention it feeds into their belief the behavior is acceptable and anyone who doesn't comply is just uptight or rude. >:(

ITA and I can't stand boundary-pushers. It's this icky feeling like they think they are in some way entitled to me. barf

re: your last sentence: YES, and I think people really do feel that way even if they don't think they do :/
