Who said anything about it being a crime? And you're confusing two issues. Issue 1: wanting a friend. Issue 2: basing your notion of an ideal friendship off two complete strangers. There's nothing wrong in wanting more or closer friends, but there's something off about fantasizing an entire relationship for two people you've never even met.

It's like if I say, "My life sucks. If only I was in Micronesia, my life would be better," and someone pointed out that I've never been to Micronesia and don't know the first thing about it.

That doesn't seem like a good analogy at all. OP wasn't saying, "If only I were Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen was my best friend" (or vice versa). If they had, your Micronesia comparison would work. What they're saying is wow, that looks like a good friendship, I wish I had a good friendship, too.

And no, nobody said it's a crime, but you're sure determined to piss on someone for wanting what they regard as a solid friendship. The fact that several others have noticed your reaction is rather harsh should tell you something. Even if it's "off" to base a notion of friendship off two total strangers (which clearly doesn't even apply in this situation but okay), so what? A lonely person making an incorrect assumption is a good reason to shame them? Come on, do better than this.
