I find most romantic scenes on TV or other visual media cringeworthy on a degree second only to drunken scenes (I have so much second hand embarrassment at seeing drunk people period, can't help it).

The worst of all in terms of kissing for me was Anders' loud kissing sounds in Dragon Age II. So yeah, I sort of see where you're coming from.

...Have you heard the Leonard Hofstadter character/actor kiss on the Big Bang? It's the most irritating, squick-some thing I've heard in awhile. Thanks to watching that show, I can see the OP's point.

Oh, right, Leonard. Yeah, I hate that character, so I must've somehow suppressed the memory of his kissing scenes. (Or maybe hate is a strong wrong since I don't care much for the show - anymore.)

Yeah, Leonard was never one of my favorites. TBBT is a show that you get into for the quirky-ness of the characters and then get cross with when the "girders" of the TBBT universe become clear. It could be a thoroughly awesome show. Instead it's, uh, what it is.
