Every big fandom I've been in lately, at least a couple of adult/child fics pop up every week, often with bonus incest (ie dad/son, etc). Not because of their canon ages, people just age them up/down.

We must be in very different fandoms because the worst I've run into in mine has been a shy, awkward first kiss between an 11-year-old and a 12-year-old.

The Inuyasha fandom has A LOT of Sesshoumaru/Rin fic in which Rin is still 8 years old. Granted, I don't like that pairing anyway now because of the uneven power dynamics, but when I was first getting into fanfiction and trying the pairing on for size, I accidentally came across a few of these pedophilic fics.
