Which aspects of your non-fandom life have been pissing you off lately? Bitch and moan about them here! I'll start.

I was counting on using a particular book as a source for a paper that's due tomorrow, so I ordered it over a week and a half ago and paid extra for two-day shipping. It's still not here, even though it was supposedly shipped the next day. I was worried that this would happen, so I made some scans of the relevant sections of university library's copy just in case, but something went wonky in the process so I don't have those either. I don't have much choice but to make do without it, and I've found some promising online sources to use instead, but I'm still really scrambling right now. In conclusion, fuck Fed-Ex.

Job hunting sucks. I mean, I'm kind of glad I left my retail job (though that whole situation is kind of irritating), but trying to find a job is hard.

Ugh, same boat here (including leaving retail). Hope you find something soon!

I went to McDonalds at 3:30 and after waiting 20 fucking minutes for my food to be brought to my car in the special "wait right here in this space even though you went through the drive-thru" I left. Because I hadn't eaten all day and my patience is wafer thin when I'm that hungry. Seriously, McDonald's? 20 minutes and still no fries or burger?

Yeah - first world problems at their worst.

Earlier today I had a conversation with a new friend of my parents', and even though I'd only been around him a couple times before this, he seemed like a nice guy. Today I found out that he thinks being gay is a "disability" and that if you're gay you should just force yourself to have sex with the opposite sex and eventually it will "cure" you. But according to him he's totally a wonderful person because he's nice to gay people just like he would be to any other disabled person!

I had to get up and leave the room to keep from punching him.

Yikes! I'm not sure I could've resisted the urge to punch him, so good on you for showing so much restraint.

Lack of hours at one job (of two), but the other has been giving me a bit more and this weekend I picked up an extra shift. Which is where I am right now, haha.

Otherwise... uh, I was sick recently but finally got over that.

We're understaffed at my callcentre and the company that outsources to us won't let us hire more people :(

I'm going to be one of the leavers too and everyone knows and it sucks that I have to leave when they could really use me

my roommate is 100% annoying plus doesn't shower often, so when she comes in the room smells bad. ugh!!

My friend keeps posting on communities things that seem really trollish, and I have no idea how to nicely tell her she looks like a troll. She's not, she's just really that internet clueless.

I'm just really fucking lonely.

My laptop. It's old and slow and literally held together with duct tape at this point so the monitor stays together (and if I close it, wires pop out of the joint). It's also the reason I can work comfortably from home while lying in bed, which is really incredibly wonderful due to my health problems. But I really, really need to replace it and was thinking of watching Black Friday ads next month.

So this last week, the charger that had been spitting sparks for about a year finally gave up completely. A month ahead of when I'd figured I'd try to replace the whole thing. :P

A used computer place near me did have a used charger that works incredibly well for only $30 instead of the $60 it would have cost to order a new one, thank goodness (I dunno why, but most laptop chargers just don't fit my machine, so I've had to special-order both times), but it's still irritating. Especially since the laptop itself is still so slow it takes me half an hour some mornings just to load my work email account.

I just got a job, except the pay is so low (waaaay below market rate) and the hours are so few that after factoring in the gas it takes to get there and back, I'll just about be breaking even. I took it get my parents off my back, but it's definitely not going to enable me to save up to move out anytime soon so it just seems like a waste of time, and they're annoyed that I'm not jumping for joy over having a "paying" job that I'm not making any money off of.

I found an awesome program....except I just spent all my birthday money today and it's on amazon anyway and my remaining money is physical (like in a jar in my room).

I really want that program because it's like animating without coding (it's for making moving comics.
