Yeah, it actually is very common, especially with women. That sounds a lot like me... I tend to get really obsessed with things, but when I have mood swings, I can be crying my eyes out and then something simple can cheer me up, or if the problem is worked out, I'm suddenly just fine. It's caused a lot of stress. I get PISSED at TV shows especially when something suddenly changes or I feel like it's making me insecure about myself for some reason (Someone compared me to Sam from Supernatural, and when I tried to correct them but they wouldn't hear me out, I slammed my laptop shut and just walked out on them. ...not the best of my reactions.)

Everyone is different, but my doctor told me that a lot of the people he sees were misdiagnosed as bipolar. Right now I'm on anti-anxiety medicine, and that along with learning to recognize that I may not like things, but that I don't have to act on it, has helped me deal a lot. I would try to find someone and get a second opinion if you can, especially if you can find a doctor that specializes in Aspergers. They will know the difference.
