(Anonymous) 2013-10-28 03:49 am (UTC)(link)Oh wait, no it doesn't.
If someone has "social problems" to the extent that they cannot perform basic personal hygiene or control their behavior to keep themselves from physically assaulting people, then they should not attend a con. Really. It's nobody's "right" to go to a con, it's a fun privilege. Some people do not deserve that privilege and no amount of "... but what about the pwecious widdle feelwings of the socially awkward????" changes that. Being socially awkward is regrettable, but luckily, it's something most people can and should work on. It is NOT asking too much of anyone (socially awkward or not!) to respect other peoples' personal space.
Also, Asperger's doesn't make you smell bad. Asperger's doesn't make you hit people. You might mean well by trying to excuse people because of their mental health (or maybe you're trolling, I don't know) but please stop. You're not doing Aspies any favors by implying that this condition makes you an antisocial cave troll that everyone else has to treat like a special snowflake.
