I have noticed. What sparked it? I'm guessing XM:FC, even though it's been out longer than that.

It actually was XMFC. I did not see the movie until a year ago! Started crushing when I marathoned some Fassbender/McAvoy interviews on youtube. And then I saw Shame. Then it became an obsession.
