For what I wonder? They brought someone else (Caity Lotz) in to play Black Canary, so what would Katie Cassidy need to be doing traing for?

No, she's Canary. They've said Katie is still going to be Black Canary.

Yes, but my point was Katie will eventually be the Black Canary. Other anon seemed to think she never would be.

That was me, and candidly, I have my doubts whether Laurel will ever actually make it to Black Canary, in spite of what the writers have said. But my initial point was that since Caity Lotz is Canary this yearwhy would Katie Cassidy suddenly need to be training any more than before? But who knows.

I'm curious where you read this (about her training more). If you have the link, I'd like to read it. There's been a curious lack of Laurel-related press this season, other than the bit about her hunting the Hood, and that storyline was over in three episodes.
