She can do lots of different things if she wants with it. My guess is she likes the ease of taking care of short hair and not having it drag through mud and weigh her down. :) Maybe she doesn't really care if it's super cute right now, just loves how easy it is. :-) Someday she might change styles/colors etc. Or even grow it out (if she can?). I think you can make up your own mind what happens!
