Boy howdy do I feel you. My seasonal depression flares up after New Years - February is the worst - but lack of sunlight is just generally awful (not to mention I hate being cold with a passion).

I think the reason November isn't as bad is I have holidays to look forward to and my social life doesn't really lag. The lagging happens more in the spring and it's honestly largely coincidence because the first three months of the year tend to be when Bad Things happen to me socially (maybe because everyone else is also feeling shitty? idk)

I wish I had some good advice for you. I've never tried the vitamin D or the sun lamp - probably because I went on medication for clinical depression a while ago and the seasonal just got way less noticeable...but you should def give those things a shot. For me, I find it helps to get involved in things even if I don't feel like it, because after a little while I will feel like it, and it will make me happy to have people to hang out with. I've made some new friends just by getting out there and forcing myself to be more social, and then I felt a lot better.

Also, listen to music that makes you happy. This is a very good thing to do.
