You don't need a good reason for not picking something that's supposed to be for fun.

And yeah, the character design really isn't my thing either. I'm really picky about furry characters though so that might be it.

I thought of Neopets too! I think it's the overall art style that's similar.

If I am not confusing them with someone else, the artist was very active on Neopets back when I was, and even had a recurring comic in the newsletter.
