It's not like Levi is manly. Manly is Reiner or Erwin.

Exactly. Personally I don't understand how people think Levi is hot. He's not particularly good-looking or interesting.

I'd say Levi is manly. They do kind of pretty him up for the anime, but he's certainly not feminine. (And there's nothing wrong with feminine men too, of course, I must add)

How do you define manly? Levi's manly to me.

(Anonymous) 2013-10-29 02:00 am (UTC)(link)
I mean he's short but heavy so he must be compacted with muscle.

(Anonymous) 2013-10-29 02:40 am (UTC)(link)
He is like 5'3" and weighs somewhere around 160 lbs.
He's got a lot of muscle mass and it's more apparent at times in the manga.

The anime makes him look like a stick figure

Yeah, Levi not seeming manly is entirely the fault of the anime.
They tried to pretty him up to appeal to the fujioushi.

He's still short in the manga but obviously more muscular.

I guess I'm thinking of manly in terms of attitude and how others perceive him. Characters like Erwin and Reiner are unreachable ideals for me, but Levi proved that people could still see me as a guy, even though I'm not that masculine. Fandom makes fun of him for being short, but I've never seen anyone call him girly, even though he has kind of a delicate/feminine look in the anime, which is the other issue with my appearance.
