I would be extroverted instead of introverted.

Do you mean extroverted or outgoing? (Sorry it's just people very often mix up the two). You can be extroverted and shy, or introverted and outgoing. Society doesn't particularly value extroverts over introverts, but it DOES value outgoing over shy.
