I live in Canada, hopefully my step mom's insurance plan covers it though (I'm part of it).

That's actually really interesting! See, this is the kind of insight I need to encounter, because $400 sure as hell doesn't just cover gas usage. I still think it sucks though, since I had no control over witnesses calling for me. I did not want to or need to go to the hospital :/

Ick, I'm sorry they did that. Is it possible to try to fight it if your insurance doesn't pay for it? 'Cause it just sounds off to make you pay for it if you weren't the one who asked for it.
